The Rose Speech Language Therapy Group was officially founded in 2025 — but the story of why begins much earlier.
Long before our practice had a name, "rose" was a word that bloomed in my life in the most personal of ways. It’s inspired by the two people who challenge me, ground me, and fill my world with meaning: my daughters.
Each night, we close our day with a mindfulness exercise we call Rose, Bud, Thorn. It’s simple, but deeply grounding. We share:
🌹 The Rose – the best part of our day
🌱 The Bud – something we’re looking forward to
🌵 The Thorn – something that was hard or didn’t go as planned
This ritual has become a sacred rhythm in our home. It teaches us to pause, to appreciate joy, to acknowledge struggle, and to carry hope forward.
When it came time to name my speech-language therapy practice, “The Rose” came to mind immediately. It felt natural, authentic — and right. Just as we do in our nightly reflection, speech therapy invites us to notice strengths, gently face challenges, and plant seeds for what’s to come.
At The Rose Speech Language Therapy Group, we believe that even in the most difficult moments, there is always something meaningful, beautiful, and worth holding onto. Sometimes, we just need a little support to see it — and that’s where we come in.
Whether you're a parent advocating for your child, an adult working to reclaim your voice, or someone simply seeking clarity and connection, we’re here for you. We’ll help you find your rose — and celebrate it fully.
