Frequently Asked Questions
What is speech-language therapy?
Speech-language therapy helps individuals improve their ability to communicate effectively and may also address feeding and swallowing issues. This includes support for speech clarity, language development, social communication, cognitive-communication, voice, and more.
Who can benefit from speech-language therapy?
We work with individuals across the lifespan — from infants to older adults. Therapy may benefit those with speech delays, language disorders, stuttering, social communication challenges, brain injuries, stroke, memory loss, or swallowing difficulties.
What happens during the initial evaluation?
During the initial evaluation, we review medical and developmental history, assess speech, language, and/or cognitive skills, and identify specific areas of need. The results help us create a personalized therapy plan tailored to your or your child’s goals.
What areas do you specialize in?
At The Rose, Speech Therapy Group, we focus on addressing speech sound disorders, language delays and disorders, cognitive-communication deficits, aphasia, executive functioning challenges, swallowing and feeding issues, as well as voice and fluency disorders. Our team has specialized expertise in treating complex medical diagnoses.
Do you work with adults and children?
Yes! We provide services for clients of all ages. Our therapists are trained to address both pediatric developmental needs and adult rehabilitation goals.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we do offer a superbill that you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement after each session. Fees are to be paid at the time services are rendered, unless special arrangements have been made. Payment can be made via check, cash, or Venmo.
