Birthday celebrations!
Birthday celebrations!

WOAH! I truly cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. The Rose Speech Therapy Group is officially celebrating ONE whole year—and what a year it has been.

In life, the roles I hold closest to my heart are being a mom and being a speech-language pathologist. Those two parts of me fuel everything I do, and this past year has been such a beautiful reflection of both.

From the moment I finished graduate school, I carried a dream of opening my own practice. But for a long time, it just never felt like the right time. There were things holding me back; anchors that made it feel impossible to take that leap. Then, in May 2025, something shifted. The fire in me lit in a way I couldn’t ignore, and I finally opened the “doors” to The Rose Speech Therapy.

It has been, without question, one of the best decisions I have ever made.

In just one year, this journey has grown into something more than I ever imagined. I’ve had the honor of supporting and empowering so many incredible clients and their families celebrating first words, stronger communication, increased confidence, and meaningful progress that goes far beyond the therapy session. I’ve expanded my caseload, built lasting relationships with families, and created individualized, functional therapy that truly meets each client where they are.

This year also brought opportunities I once only dreamed about presenting at conferences, collaborating with other professionals, and becoming part of a larger conversation in the speech-language pathology field. I stepped into leadership in ways that challenged me, grew me, and reminded me why I chose this profession in the first place.

Behind the scenes, I built a brand from the ground up and The Rose Speech Therapy Group has become something I am deeply proud of. From developing resources and materials, to creating a space (both physically and emotionally) where clients feel safe, supported, and seen, every detail has been intentional. I’ve learned how to run a business, advocate for my clients, and trust my own clinical voice in a whole new way.

One year in, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to build a practice that reflects my values and passion for helping others. The journey has included plenty of late nights, early mornings, challenges, and milestones, but every step has been worth it. Along the way, my daughters have been my biggest cheerleaders, and hearing them proudly talk about “The Rose” always brings a smile to my face. Their excitement serves as a simple reminder of how far we've come and why this work means so much to me.

Year one was about courage, growth, and laying the foundation. It was about taking a chance on myself and discovering just how much was possible.

I have a feeling year two is going to be even more special and I cannot wait to share what’s ahead. More growth, more connection, more impact.

To my family, friends, colleagues, and most importantly, my clients and their families….thank you. Your trust, support, and belief in me mean everything.

From the bottom of my heart,

Jacqui
